I know there are a lot of naysayers here and people who absolutely refuse to acknowledge this, but even in stock (non-jailbroken) form, my SE feels all around faster than my X did.

When I played with my SE side by side with the XR in the store, the SE also felt faster on the GUI and all around maneuverability.

And don’t get me started on Face ID. Even the old Touch ID on the SE is several times faster than Face ID.

You lost me with everythingapplepro... I’m happy you’re satisfied with your SE it’s a good phone.. I personally would never want to have one but that’s what’s great about having choices. There’s something out there for everyone.

The ‘faster’ arguments is primarily a Subjective argument. I’ve read where other members have said version one of touch ID was considerably slower than using Face ID, vice versa. Regardless, all that really matters, is the SE has outdated specs, it uses an A9 processor and version one of touch ID, I’m not saying it’s necessarily slow, but for future iOS updates, the XR with the A12 is built for more longevity and sustained performance in this comparison.

I have never used Face ID, so I can't comment on that, but having gone from Touch ID 1 (iPhone 5s) to Touch ID 2 (iPhone 6s Plus) then back to Touch ID 1 again (iPhone SE), there was an obvious difference between Touch ID 1 and 2.

The 2 was faster, but not enough to notice when going to Touch ID 2, but very noticeable when going from 2 to 1. It didn't take long getting used to.

Yeah Nah, V1TID is better than V2FID lol, all credibility gone.

Indeed, you lost credibility. It's a fact that Touch ID v1 is faster than latest Face ID. I'm not sure why some people refuse to acknowledge this. It isn't subjective. It is in fact faster to unlock with Touch ID V1 than it is to unlock with V2 of Face ID. Try making a video showing otherwise. Good luck lol

most of, if not all of the perceived lag when clicking & swiping things on an iPhone is due to the GPU pushing pixels. Although the XR has a faster GPU, it has to push more pixels around. Since the SE has a drastically smaller screen, everything moves around quicker even though it has a less powerful GPU.
