Hi guys,

desperate to solve this issue:

My mum (usually always asking for help) wanted to delete a single message from a chat in WhatsApp and happened to delete the whole chat.
There is a full backup (iCloud) from a month ago and she wouldn't lose much so I decided to:

- deinstall + reinstall WhatsApp
- restore from backup from iCloud

Problem: there is now not enough storage And I already offloaded nearly every app and I can't think of anything else to do.
It always initiates to restore the media but after 63% or so it stops and says "not enough storage".

Is there any way to fix this or to work around?

Many thanks for your help and input,

Ok, for future reference and help to anyone:

There was a month old iTunes-backup which actually restored everything, even from WhatsApp. Absolutely amazing!
And since Fotos and Notes, Reminders, etc. were all linked into iCloud, there is just a minor gap of data (phone records, a few messages on WhatsApp) but all media is included.

Pretty helpful.
