Finally found one in the UK that fits 100%.

ESR launched their updated protector recently so I decided to try one. I had tried their old one for the iPhone 8 as well as others that didn’t fit quite right, however this one does.

Comes with a guide frame that sits on the phone so you get perfect alignment, and each kit contains two protectors so either a spare or can be used on a second device.

Cleaned the screen with the provided kit, popped the frame on and gently lowered the protector onto the phone. Zero air bubbles and no ghosting etc.

Can genuinely recommend this for anyone in the UK wanting a protector that actually fits.

Also works without any issues using the genuine Apple leather case, and with some other third party cases that have a rubber area that wraps around the screen on the front.

Wahey! Thank you - will try it out. Having read so much about all this to date, I haven’t even attempted to buy one yet...

Is it a curved glass near the edges or just a flat sheet of glass? There are posts saying the flat glass doesn't stick properly near the edges. Also, does the ESR screen protector has black bezels on top and bottom (as shown on the right side in the first pic) or is it all transparent glass (as shown on the left side in the first pic and second pic)? And is the Home button full circle or just a cutout?

It’s curved at the edges and yes it has the black areas as pictured. It has no edge sticking issues like the others.

To be fair, you don't really know if any of the black portions of the protector aren't sticking down. The totally clear ones are where this shows bad. On this one, as long as the clear screen part is stuck down good, it looks fine.

Would you be able to post pics of it in profile? Does it sit lower than your case?

I’m just going by the fact that you cannot slide even a paper edge under any of it to me says it’s stuck down all round.

Thanks for the info, I've just ordered one. The shop I bought my SE sold me a screen protector that didn't stick down at the edges. At first, I thought it was just a cosmetic thing, but within a few weeks of use, the screen protector itself has broken in several places around the edge, presumably from being bent while in my pocket. It sounds like this ESR one will do the job better - and it's less than half the price the shop did me for

Please let us know how you get on with it. I still haven’t bought one - I’m just being careful not to put anything in my pocket that might scratch the screen...
