Okay so let's say we have 200+ albums on our iPhone, out of the 200 we have a few studio and live albums from the same artists. When you shuffle your whole library and a studio album comes up from the artist the very next song is 99% going to be the live version of that same song and vise versa.

Any idea how to get around this? I love to sometimes just shuffle by song however it seems that having a live album messes up the random order.

Thanks!

These are possible work-arounds to skip unwanted songs (albums) from playing during a shuffle.

1. You can shuffle by Specific Artist Albums

2. You can shuffle by All Albums

3. You can make a Playlist of 2-10 of your more favorite albums (or a couple hundred of your favorite songs) and shuffle only those songs.

4. You can Shuffle by Genre

5. In iTunes, select any unwanted Albums or Songs and click the "Skip When Shuffling" feature.

Oooo I like that "Skip when Shuffling" Option

I'll have to use that for all my live albums.
