So, this happened twice yesterday.. I'll be using the phone normally (a few texts, phone calls, whatever) and put it back in my pocket. A few seconds later when I go to pull it out again, the phone will be completely off. The center button won't wake it up, the top button won't either.

I tried plugging it in to the charger, nothing. Held the center button, nothing. The only thing that worked was holding the center and top buttons down for a long time (around 10 seconds?) and even that took 2-3 attempts.

What the heck is going on? I have applecare so its not a big deal, but the phone is only 2 weeks old.

Same thing here

Updated to 3.1.2 and on Friday at lunch I was using my phone, put it in my pocket and then after lunch took it out and it wouldn't respond. Had to hold the top and center button for 10 sec to get it to reboot and haven't had a problem since.
