Do the lighter colour silicone cases such as white stain/become dirtier more easily compared to the darker colours one like black or navy?

Yes, but the dark colours tend to show rub marks and oils more easily.
Best are the mid-tone colours for not showing marks, IMO.

I have three Apple silicone cases - white, orange and blue. They clean up fairly well with a little detergent, but not perfectly.

Clean your phones once per week with a wet cloth and your silicone case will look as good as new. I have used a silicone case on my 12 Mini for a year and a half and it looks like I just started using it.

My favorite is the white case. I think it stays pretty clean looking. A couple of times I did get some discoloration on it. Best thing to clean it is whitening toothpaste. Sounds silly but works when nothing else does.
