Hi all -- thanks in advance for any help you guys might provide. Here's my deal: I bought an original iPhone when they came out, as did my wife. I then got a 3G to replace my original (although I kept the original as a spare). My wife's iPhone just broke. I restored all her data to my spare, but when I put in her SIM card, iTunes activation wants to set up a new account.

Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks again,

ADR

Unless you unlock it, this is how it works when you put in a new sim. You just need to select the option that says you are an existing customer, and it will activate the phone for that sim card. If you put yours back in this phone, you will need to do it again.
