Iphone sim to 3g ipad?

I have an extra micro sim and a iphone line not really being used...can i use the sim card in my ipad 3g? If I can, please tell me now or what I need to do.. Thanks....!!!!!

You will have to edit APN settings to get it working but there are several reports of people getting in trouble with AT&T for doing this.

Just use the cheaper iPad plan and drop the expensive iphone plan.

Hopefully no ETF on the iPhone plan, but still we are talking a lot of money a month, ETF could be cheaper.
