Well I just wanted to make sure since it is rather sad that my perfectly functional PowerBook G4 has become pretty much useless.
I had managed to modify SDK 2.2's .dist file in order to have it install on my PowerBook. It had been working fine ever since. Then I tried the same trick on 3.0 and I got it to install properly. The problem is that the simulator now seems to be intel-only. It's probably not the only intel-only component of the SDK either
.
I know that this probably means that the development of the iPhone simulator for PPC has become too much of a hassle and that's why Apple never officially supported it anyway.
I'm in denial
, so if anyone knows a workaround I'd appreciate it, although I guess this probably means that I'll have to borrow a friend's Macbook in order to do a final build (if I find my app to worthy enough for me to enroll in the developer program).
