Hi,

I have an iPhone 3GS and I'm planing to do a complete restore without using any backups that I have ever created via syncing with iTunes, as I have been experiencing lots of crashes and lags with my old 3GS lately. However the only thing that I wanted to keep is the huge amount of SMS that I have been saving since day one, lots of memories...

Anyways, I've Googled a bit and found that I could make use of the "3d0d7e5fb2ce288813306e4d4636395e047a3d28" file in the backup folder on Mac OS X (User>Library>Application Support>Mobile Sync>Backup>[id]). However, the problem is that I couldn't even find the file in the first place.

Are there any methods that I can backup my SMS only without any hacking or jailbreaking? Or is there something that I've been missing so that I cannot see the file as mentioned?

Thanks heaps in advance...!!:)
