Is there a way to get a cheaper messaging plan for the iphone or a plan that includes unlimited att mobile to mobile messages? Thanks for any help/advice you can give.

You can opt for the unlimited messaging plan, if i remember correctly it's an extra $15 a month.

I am looking for something other than the iPhone specific plans.

I have an iPhone. I was wondering if the non iphone plans are cheaper and can be used on an iphone account?

No the plans are the same, if anything the iPhone plan is cheaper since the $19.99 unlimited data plan includes the 200 SMS plan, and I pay $10 a month extra for the 1500 plan which is normally $15.

All of the plans and rates are listed on the AT&T site. I am sure that everyone here is more than happy to help out, but go there to make sure you get what you want before you make any decisions.
