iPhone Software 1.1.1 or 1.1?

Has anyone ever thought about the possibility of software 1.1.1 being the UK version of the software with edge roaming on and all that stuff that really only suits the UK, and 1.1 being the US software which will just be an update on my features like the double home button. Just a thought

I don't think they'd want to maintain separate versions for the various localizations, and plus the US rebate form showed 1.1.1.

Since the iPhone and iPod Touch seem to be running the same OS, I think it's more likely that 1.1.0 was equivalent to the iPod Touch release, and 1.1.1 adds some iPhone-specific enhancements.

i wonder if turning off the edge radio could save battery life? or is that built into the gsm radio? i forget...

if it is separate, it would be neat if the software could toggle it on and off when not updating email or doing any of the other functions using the internets.
