I charged and synced my iPhone this morning. As usual, it checks for a software update, but with a twist this time. Usually I see a notice that my software is up to date and will automatically be checked again, but the date is always listed as a week out.

This time, on the 14th, it said the next check would occur on 3.18. An anomaly, or something to do with the announcements on v3.0 on the 17th?

It just checks at set intervals. I've had my phone show a date that was one day after a major update to check for new updates.

I wish it was that easy, but this is no indicator. :D

I understand the intervals. Mine has always shown the next check occurring 7 days after the current sync. That's why seeing it check in just four days seems odd.
