I bought the iPhone in November the day it was released here in the UK. I noticed that when I synced it, the update date said 'will automatically check next on 16-01-08' or something like that.

When the 1.1.3 update came on the 15th Jan, I ran the update and it now says will update next 29th Feb. It struck me that this is an odd date to jump to, unless there is something to look forward to just before that date.

Is this just my iTunes date, or are we all seeing the same thing?

Just yours mine says 24th

Thats the date that your iphone will check for new updates. Not necessary the actual DATE the of software release. Just my .5 Cents :D

next update

It's automatically set to check every 2 weeks.. let's hope it won't quite be the 29th that we have to update though! :)

This is a leap year after all, but I haven't noticed it does anything every two weeks. It simply sets a date once the last one kicks off.
