Hello guys - is there noticeable difference in 6S's sound quality coming up from 4S? Has it improved / deteriorated / or remains basically comparable?

Using 4S for music and a Samsung S5 at the moment - thinking of combining to just one; 4S is louder and has better bass, etc.

I haven't really noticed a major difference between my various iPhones over the years, sound-wise, until I moved up from a 6 to a 6s Plus. The Plus has a better speaker in it, albeit still mono, but the dynamics are pretty good and the volume is better than the 6 I had. Overall, though, I have to say that the iPhones have a pretty good stock speaker vs some other brands that I've used.

I always thought the 4S was great in terms of sound quality, much better than the Galaxy S4 that replaced it.

Allegedly the 6S is slightly better than the 6 (http://www.whathifi.com/apple/iphone-6s/review), though a few people in this thread have mentioned some issues with popping- http://www.head-fi.org/t/781114/iphone-6s-sound-quality/240. Worth a read if audio quality is important to you.

Anecdotal evidence doesn't mean much in terms of sound quality, but for FWIW I'm currently trying out a pair of Sennhesier 558s with my 6+ and steaming 320kbit/s though Spotify and I have no complaints.
