I've noticed that when I get new email or a text message, I hear the new item sound during the day. However early morning (6am) and overnight I never hear anything.

Are sounds disabled during certain times of day or am I just a sound sleeper?

I was actually being serious...

There are times when I need an email but wasn't sure if the iPhone had a feature that disabled sounds at night because it assumes you are sleeping.

In the morning I have my phone right next to me and I will have heard no sounds after checking it previously, yet I'll have an email.

sigh....society is degrading at a rapid rate...it's sad to witness...

Saying something like lolwut does not degrade a person let alone the overall society. I love to use these kind of slang during chat or light conversation but when the time comes to be serious, you should be serious.

Also, there are people who use big words but they probably have brain as big as a marble.

Maybe you can take a look at your nickname and have a reflection ;)

Uh, you're probably just sleeping through the notifications. It's not like a new email notification is all that loud anyway. I've slept with my iPhone near me and I've slept through it plenty of times.

Besides why the hell would anyone want to interrupt their sleep so they can check their email?

I've woken up to txt msg notifications before though.
