Hi everyone,

Just purchased and unlocked one iPhone less than a week ago,
found out yesterday that my iPhone's speaker was outputting
abnormal sounds when I was changing some ringtones. The output
seemed to be blasted (something like when your woofer's blasted)
and I can't hear anything at all. Suspects that the speaker is damaged
(though I have only used it less than 10 times to play songs via the speaker). The iPhone otherwise is still working fine.

A friend told me that I might have to open the phone up and replace
something (no I don't know what is there to replace), but I refused due to
the fear that I might brick the phone later.

Anyone has any suggestion on how this problem can be rectified ?
Thanks for stopping by !

The speaker is not blown..the speaker just sucks pretty much. If you have the EQ setting on in your ipod settings it is worse. Turn that off, keep your volume level to low and the speaker works with minimal distortion.
