iphone speaker does not work

OK soo i been reading the forms on what to do if the speaker dont work....cause i have to turn my phone on dpeaker phone in order to make and recieve calls to hear...ive done everything....i called apple ..they said its a hardware issue ...ive plug in the earplugs 1000 times restored the phone ...DONE EVERYTHING...still nothing ..oh yeh my son did drop it ...but do i have to buy a new phone or can i replace the speaker?? so frustrasted
