Help needed!

I am a proud owner of a new 3GS. I have set it up for IMAP.

The spotlight search function appears to be able to find any email in any IMAP folder which I've entered (i.e. the folders which have an unread count next to them), but not folders that I haven't entered.

This is great except that I entered the "spam" folder and now when I search I find lots of things I don't want to find.

How do I tell the iPhone to stop searching a specific folder? Or, if that's not possible, how do I tell it to forget the emails inside a folder (e.g. as if I'd never clicked on the folder in the IMAP list)?
