I've been hunting around for a while now for a decent phone stand that I can easily carry around with me - one that fits in my wallet.

I've looked at, and purchased a number of different stands, but I've finally settled on a stand called a 'standeazy' from http://www.standeazy.com.

What I love about the stand is that they have started with the idea of making it "walletable" by starting with a credit card shape and then worked out how to fold it so that you can stand your phone on it and it being stable in both portrait and landscape and still be adjustable.

I tend to watch TV news while I'm grabbing breakfast first thing or, sadly, watch TV whilst ironing as well as watching techy podcasts during my commute to work and this has been great. I catch up with downloads using the CineXPlayer player which allows me to play divx files and the like. I've started using it for Skype now as well, which I didn't think of at first and lately I've started using it with AirDisplay as an extra tiny monitor to hold my 'info' palette window from Photoshop so that it is always to hand. I guess I'll find more uses as I go along.

The stand is cut so that two supporting tabs stick out the back to give it extra support and stability, especially when in portrait mode (which some of the other stands don't). In the centre is a ridged tab which clips onto the back on the stand once it is raised up. The ridges allow it to be adjustable.

There are a bunch of designs, in both black and white and in colour, but it's down to personal preference really as all the stands are the same. My choice is the B&W circles just for it's simplicity.

I've used the stand for a little over two months now and I was fearful that with wear and tear the folds would break as they turned a little white on the first fold, but it's just kept going perfectly.

Price wise I paid £5.99 (UK) for mine, but I notice that the prices have come down a little since then (curses) and range from £3.50 to £4.99.

Anyway, I know that not everyone wants a phone stand, but I thought that I would share since I've spent some time trying quite a few others. I hope that this helps someone.

Cheers

Steve
