I wanted to check my step count today and realised that my iPhone had somehow stopped logging my steps since Thursday. My steps for the past few days have all been at zero steps, and I am unable to get my phone to start counting my steps.

It shows zero steps both in the health app and the pedometer app, so I don't think it's a problem with either app.

I am short of restoring my phone as a last resort to see if it fixes the problem, and before I do, I would like to ask if there is any way of ascertaining what the problem may be? I have already turned off and turned on the relevant settings and reinstalled pedometer, to no avail. Any way of checking if the step tracking function on my 5s is faulty or anything?

Thanks all for your help.
