Hi,

On an iPhone 11 Pro, 256gb with over 130gb reported "free" I sometimes experience:
- WhatsApp 'please make more space in order to complete backup'
- constant extremely sluggish iOS , with apps barely opening,
- restarts that once took 5-7 mins

Overall it behaves as it really had no free space left, even though system reports more than half of 256gb free, unused.

Last night while trying to send an attachment via Telegram and it crawled like a snail I've played with Telegram' settings only to find in storage that it reported only 754 MB free, 237GB "used" by other apps while system reported 129gb Free. 064AF60B-5DDD-4EA2-B002-D119A07F3115.png

Then I've installed a third-party app to see how it actually stands:
As seen in the screen shot, it showed 3 separate partitions of 255GB with 789 MB free ( very close to what Telegram reported, bare in mind this value change, it got even as low as 54MB ) all while the free Storage was listed above just as system reported as 129 GB free.

I couldn't take photos, shoot video, apps wouldn't start and so on.

Then I've installed a 2GB game, and mysteriously those partitions got to 24GB free currently and iPhone behaves just like out of the box, no issues whatsoever.

Did anyone experience something like that or knows what to do to prevent such issue to happen again? Phone was never JB.

I'm afraid there will be left with a couple of mb's of actual free space that'll be used over and over again and break its physical storage just as I've seen numerous phones that ran with 98-99% space occupied.

Thanks,
George
