I need advise.

In case iPhone becomes defective in the next few days, I can return it to the retailer I bought it from within 14 days.

Beyond Day 14, can I bring it to an Apple Store and they will replace it?

Yes, if the defect is hardware-related, Apple will replace it within 1 year of your date of purchase. See full warranty info here.
