I turned off my iPhone 4 on 5.0b4 jailbroken to let it reboot, and started to do what I always do to reboot my phone tethered. I have redsn0w all loaded up and ready to go, but no matter how long I hold the power and home buttons together the phone never hard reboots, it just stays at the Apple logo forever. I've held it for about 2 minutes max, and nothing. This is plugged in and not plugged in. Has anybody had this problem?

Had this issue a couple of times months ago.

Try a couple of these;

Hold both the power button and home button, and plug the cable in, then release the power button.

Hold both for atleast 40 seconds, then plug it in and let go of the power button.

Then do the above, but hold both the power button and the home button.

Just wait 30minutes without trying, and then have a crack at it.

I found anytime i was having a problem, one of the above worked.

Thanks for the tips, but none of those worked. :/

Just got back from the Apple Store, I explained the issue and they gave me a completely new phone for free!

Wow. Finally. Just wanted to say thanks. Thought I was screwed but I tried your above suggestion (the first sentence) and it worked.
