iphone stuck in endless sync on mac [RESOLVED]

noticed yesterday; ios is syncing on my mac, never stops. rebooted my iphone AND my macbook air, and... happening again today.

if i shut off my phone, it still shows on the mac as syncing. and i can't eject the phone from the mac.

anyone else seeing this? any ideas on how to stop it?

ha, fixed! i force-quit ampdevicesagent in activity monitor (was using 99% CPU); the normal ios window now shows in the finder, did a sync, and it completed without issue. take that, apple ✊
