Iphone stuck in recovery mode and malfuntioned

hi i downloaded the 3.1.2 firmwere for my iphone 3g and it the wifi didnt seem to work at all anymore so today i tryed restoring it back to 3.0 firmwere and so it put the phone in recovery mode and about half way through the downgrade it failed and is now stuck in recovery mode plus my lock button does not work so i cannot hold the lock and home buttons down till it resets the phone and another problem is now it is in this mode everytime i try plug it into any computer it says the drivers are malfunctioned

any help would be aprishiated

Try using this thread. I was able to downgrade with no problems.
