I recently purchased a used iphone 3gs of ebay. I installed a new back cover and my screen turned white. upon restore the problem went away. I then reopened the iphone to fix the home button so i don have to use excessive pressure for it to work. In result from that my iphone wont go passed the apple logo. I searched numerous sites that says hard restore your phone but only results back to apple logo.
I also attempted to jailbreak the iphone not knowing or perservingthe baseband (honestly dunno exactly what i was doing) but knowing its been updated to the max (ios 5). The jailbreak seemes to be successfull BUT wont go pass pineapple when i attempt to teather boot it. At this point i have no clue what else to due =/... Any help would be highly appreciated including the honesty that i permenently bricked my iphone !! Thanks in advance!
