So I was continuously trying to downgrade my 4.2 iPhone 3g to 3.1.3, when I tried using Recboot to work around the 1015 error in iTunes. Now, the iPhone is basically dead weight. It is not recognized by iTunes much less the computer. Holding the power and home button doesnt not reset it. Any pointers?

I couldn't figure out how to downgrade my 3G either, but as far as it being not able to connect I had this same problem with another one last night. Power the phone off. Then hold the power and home button down for 10 seconds. Let off power and continue holding home button. This will put it in DFU mode. Must be hooked up to iTunes to do this.

After seeing iPhone error 1015, you then have to use TinyUmbrella to kick your iPhone out of recovery.

When I run Tinyumbrella(v4.21.01) it says: "CANNOT START TSS SERVICE. DO NOT TRY RESTORING YOUR DEVICE!!!"
