On my iPhone 15 pro there are so many stutters: switching tabs on Safari, scrolling on Weather app, swipe up on photo in “Photos”, Dynamic Island lag, scrolling on notifications screen, Control Center (when tap “Add a Control” and try scroll), swiping key and right on the home screen and stutters on so many 3rd party apps (animations and scrolling).

Moreover, the issue has been present at least since iOS 16, when I bought my first iPhone 12. This isn't solely related to iOS 18. And I also noticed that after rebooting the smartphone, there are fewer stutters at first, but literally within a few hours, everything goes back to how it was.

Previously, everyone joked that Android smartphones lag, but now it's the opposite—thanks to Apple's "brilliant" actions, the iPhone, in terms of smooth performance, now works like a budget Android.

Ok, now don't freak out, but I'm wondering if this could be a user-induced issue without you realizing it. I have owned iPhones since the 4S was released (new iPhone every couple years) and have never seen a stutter issue on any of them. Have you been using a particular app on the iPhones where you experience the stutter?

As you have seen and had confirmed in the main 18.3.1 thread, yes stutters still abound for some. Nothing will fix it. Only Apple can address it.

Full reset, setup as new

My 14PM has definitely seemed off very recently. There seem to be more stutters and general screen lockups. They're generally resolved after waiting just a second or two but it still contributes to a unpleasant user experience compared to when it wasn't do that. It's a 2.5 year old flagship phone. For this to be happening for simple things like closing an app or changing tabs.....it smells a tad of forced obsolescence. Start degrading user experience with each respective iOS update until I decide to just buy the 17 when it launches but "this old one" doesn't do it anymore.
