just kidding.. now that i got your attention, which is great since its hard during announcement day, i just want to point out why the iphone 3g isnt the greatest alternative comparing to the original if you plan to unlock it.

I don't see any benefits at all for a person like me, who only wants to use voice and ipod features, and everything else with wifi. i say this because the only improvements i see is the gps and 3g, which are features that can't be used with my current plan. Everything else is the same, camera quality, display resolution. Plus the iphones aren't cheaper, they are just subsidized, since I can't take home the 3g one and unlock it, im better off buying the 2g version. I won't use any of the benefits of the new iphone, plus i get the added bonus of having a thinner body, and metal back hmm.

i'm not bashing the new iphone, don't think of it this way. just consider the old one is still a great phone, plus with 2.0 it just got a whole lot better.
do you think ebay and craigslist will have the old iphone for around 200?
