The following is so enormously frustrating. For a few months I have switched over to an iPhone 15 Pro Max and recently got some AirPod Pro 2 to get completely neck deep into the ecosystem. I love the phone, and I love the AirPods.... BUT.

Whenever I use the AirPods Pro 2 they keep disconnecting mainly during calls. The iPhone (or AirPods) disconnect and switch over to either my Huawei watch or the phone itself or speaker to the amusement of everyone around me. Then after a few seconds it switches again. Sometimes I need to go through all the options (speaker/watch/airpods) until it decides — Yep ok here you go — which is annoying.

The call quality from the phone and AirPods seemingly is also unstable (my wife says I turn into a robot most of the time). Both Phone and AirPods are quite new and I was not expecting these kind of (basic) issues.

Does anyone recognise this? I have asked for replacement AirPods and they should be on the way but I start to doubt this has anything to do with them. I did try Accessibility -> Touch (?) -> Call Audio Routing (Bluetooth Headset) but the probleem keeps happening.

Do you have the Airpods connected to other devices such as the Huawei watch?
It might not be the airpods but that some other device interfears.

Check so that you are running the latest FW on the airpods, could be a software bug that's corrected in later firmwares.

Hmm, not anymore. I had connected the AirPods to the MacBook from work but I tried disconnecting it from there. I also disconnected all other bluetooth devices from the phone so I only had the AirPods connected — no luck.

Does look like I am running on the latest firmware, forgot about that but I'm completely updated.
