I recently experienced a hard drive failure in a MAC. After replacing the drive and salvaging as many files as I could (byte by byte) from the dead one, I was able to retrieve most of my music. However, no playlist data was retrieved. If I sync my iPhone (with music, playlists, etc) to iTunes on the new hard drive, I will lose all the music on the iPhone. (I'll also lose the ringtones, but that's another issue.)
Does anyone know if I can move playlists from the iPhone to the MAC?

Probably possible if you jailbroken it and able to access the filesystem directly. I don't know exactly where you can extract it but it there somewhere.
