iPhone sync with a new mac from windows laptop

Hi My wife has an iphone that was synced with a windows laptop over 6 months ago, she uses icloud on it for backing up.
we now what to sync it with a macbook bit when we try to its saying we will loos all data.
she has No music on its its just the Photos,contacts that she is worried about loosing.
I have authorized the mac for her acount and downloaded all purchased apps.
