I have an iPhone with lotsa music, data and programs on it. However, having been a PC user for my whole life, Im finally considering getting an iMac 27". My question is this. The iMac will come with iTunes installed, so will my iPhone be wiped clean after I sync it the first time on the new computer?

Depends how you copy everything over. Provided you allow iTunes to manage your music (so that everything in the library is inside the iTunes folder) you can just copy the whole iTunes folder over onto the Mac and replace the contents of the iTunes folder with the contents of your Windows version. This works fine - it's what I did early this year moving from XP - and the iPhone/iPod/Apple TV don't care that they are syncing with a library on a different machine because the library itself contains the information about which devices are synced. So it just carries on syncing as normal.
