I was wondering, does iPhone allow selective synching. By that, I mean, does it allow you to put your songs onto your iPhone then delete them off of your computer like an iPod will. I live off of my laptop, but it has small ram and small memory, and I don't like keeping all of my mp3s/videos on it, so I always back up to a USB hd and then delete the songs off of my laptop. Will iPhone still allow this?

Also, as a side question, is the iPhone worth buying now or should I wait? It's been a while since any 3G news has been mentioned and I certainly don't want to buy a phone only to have it get a hardware update just a month later. Thanks for the help all!

set to manual, it does allow this-- i am the same way with the space on my laptop...conserve it!

Thanks! I thought I had heard someone say a while ago that iPhone was all-or-nothing which had me worried. Thanks for the confirmation.
