Wouldn't it be awesome if instead of copying the new apps from our phone directly it could just synch the info and download it from the app store on our computers? That would cut sync times in half! I know we can cancel this part of the sync, but still.

And don't be a smartass and send the Apple feeback link :p, I've already done it. :D

Thoughts?
 
It depends on your Internet connection, and if you even have an Internet connection at the time you try to sync, I know I'll sometimes sync when I'm away from an Internet connection. So I think requiring an internet connection to sync is a bad idea.

Also isn't there data, like things you saved in the app that gets backed up during the sync and wouldn't if you just reels loaded the app?

No, I don't think so. I'm fairly certain it's just a backup install of the app, nothing more.
