iPhone system taking excessive storage. 76.63 of 128 fb storage is dedicated to the system?! WTH?!

please explain why my iPhone 7plus phone system requires over 76 fb of my phone storage.

A rep at Verizon explained that happened to a lot of people with IOS 11 and nothing can be done. The new updates just take up more space. Can’t take up that much space.

Please help!
