It seems to me that a lot of the technology introduced for the iPhone could be used to make a great tablet computer. The vaunted new stylus-free touch screen tech, sensors to automatically detecting whether to display in portrait or landscape, as well as wireless connectivity integration, would all add to a tablet design.
 
Just curious as this iphone looks really sweet. Do you think they will put say a hundred gig hd in there and take out the phone functionality? i could see myself using it as a pda and ipod but not as a phone. i hope apple makes it so you can buy it without a service contract and without phone features
 
I think they're likely to create a 6G ipod will full video like the iphone and a big hard drive, but without the iphone's other phone and web connectivity functions.

It'll probably have some wireless connectivity to counter the Zune's marketing, but only short range.

it would be nice if you had a wireless network at home and just wanted to access the interent via that. a portable internet thing would be sweet.
