Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/532.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.5 Mobile/8B117 Safari/6531.22.7)

So quick generic question on internet tethering for the iPhone.

If I get Internet tethering on my iPhone through AT&T my iPad could potentially connect through the Internet via my iPhone correct?

Let me know if I'm right. Thanks.

Unfortunately, no. The tethering offered natively in the iPhone OS is via USB or Bluetooth only and the iPad does not have the capability to recognize and use a data connection made through either of these connections.

AFAIK, the only way you could tether your iPad to your iPhone is to jailbreak your iPhone and use a paid jailbreak app (I think it costs $20) called MyWi to turn your iPhone into a Wi-Fi hotspot. Your iPad would then be able to connect to it just like it would any other Wi-Fi hotspot.
