iPhone text messages while on the phone

I'm having an issue lately when I get text messages or emails on my phone apparently the noise is loud enough that everyone I'm on the phone with hears it. This hasn't always happened until recently. Is there a fix for this without turning the phone on silent?

Not really. It's an annoying "feature" used to let everyone know you got a message.

Annoying yes fixable well as u know flick to silent
