I've a few themes in my winterboard library, however, when I select them and re-spring they're not changing the phone appearance.

Any ideas as to what could be the reason for this? I've tried sorting the priority to have them at the top, but this doesn't work.

Thanks
Adam

What aspect of the theme is not working?

If the icons are not appearing you might need to clear your icon cache and/or check that the theme is correctly labeled for iOS 4, as I understand it, somethings have changed so the theme needs to compatible.

To clear the icon cache, try looking for something called springboard cache or something in:

/private/var/mobile/Library/Caches

Delete the contents of the folder rather than the folder itself. (Delete the contents of the folder called springboard so-and-so NOT the contents of the Caches folder).

No part of the theme is working. For example, I have the following theme items on my winterboard (see attached). But when I select certain aspects here, they don't show, for example, the o2 Logo, StatusQuo, Transparent dock...

Are there any dependencies that you're not aware of?

Thanks for the replies.

I didn't know there were dependencies that I needed to be aware of, so there very well could be... How would I know/find out?

Same problem here. Exact same symptoms as well. I have an iP4 that was running JB 4.0.1. WB was working fine in that. Upgraded to 4.1 using LR beta 3 and TU (preserved BB).

Did some googling but found no similar complaints. I rarely use it so I didn't pursue it. I even tried manually SSH'g some themes over and nothing.

I was on 4.0.2 - upgraded to 4.1 with TU to preserve BB and then JB with greenpois0n. Seems there could be a common problem.

I cannot see the correct folders to delete

I can see the folder var/mobile/library/springboard

should I empty that?

Try turning "SummerBoard Mode" to ON in Winterboard. The themes may be older and may require this setting... worked for me....

Tried that, made no difference.

How did you apply the theme? Through SSH or Cydia?

Okay, I downloaded the theme, added the folder to var/stash/themes via iPhone explorer. Opened winterboard, selectded the theme, a tick appeared and then respring - the screen goes black, refreshes, but no change.
:(

I think I'm just going to have to put up with it! Gutted really as the only reason I JB this phone was for the themes - no good if they don't work
:(

I think it's the com.apple.IconCache?

I cleared that and still cannot get any themes to work! There must be something fundamental that I'm doing wrong! This is really irritating me now!

I cannot even get the statusQuo wifi bars to work. I've put them to the top of the list, and cleared the cache and still they don't appear.

Make sure the themes are iPhone 4 compatible, many needed updating.

They are, they're themes other people are using on iPhone 4's
