how can i get my iphone to sync with iphoto and copy over pics automatically without having to drag and drop them every time i want to sync? kinda like ical and contacts does it?

what you can do if you have a mobile me account in your photos click send to mobile me and then it will show up on your iphoto in your shared pictures album:apple:

In itunes just tell it to sync your photos.

Your iphoto is probably auto launching when you connect your iphone and asking you to import?

You dont need to do that.

You can stop iphoto from launching everytime by running Image Capture in your application dir, go to preferences and tell it to not run any application when a camera is hooked up.

That should do the trick, itunes will auto sync and you never have to see it.
