iPhone to iPhoto import crash!

So today I tried to import the photos and videos off my iPhone, I clicked 'delete from phone' and then I had the spinning beach ball and had to force quit iPhoto.

I have now lost everything that I did not import, is there anyway to recover this? It is so annoying!

I had the same problem, but weeks ago. Just yesterday iPhoto "spinned" again and I forcefully shut it down. Today in the morning I discovered, that iPhoto really imported the pictures to the iPhoto folder, but not the library.
So dragging them from the pictures folder to iPhoto did the trick.

My only problem is, that there are still a lot of photos, probably, missing from ages ago, and they might be in the iPhoto folder. Is there an AppleScript or something to check "iPhoto folder not imported pictures"?

Try using image capture instead.
