Unless I unplug the Ethernet cable from the Mac mini

I'm trying to connect my iPhone 6 hotspot to my Mac mini ,(Comcast is down)
But the wifi hotspot only works on the Mac mini when I unplug the Ethernet cable

Is there another way to make it work without having to unplug the Ethernet cable
First world problems I know

Go to System Preferences > Network and drag the iPhone on top of Ethernet. The Mac connects to networks in priority order from top down. Alternatively, you could select the ethernet interface and click on the gear at the bottom to make the service inactive.

Thanks that works
