iPhone to TV

Curious, can you hook up your iPhone (your iPad) to your TV using the USB to be able to watch movies that are on your phone on your TV? A friend said I can, why not they do it with their laptop. So I just wanted another opinion, I want to be sure cause I don't want to mess anything up.

Sure, you can use Apple's Lightning to HDMI adapter to connect directly or use Apple TV to connect wirelessly.

For the cost the Apple TV performs very well. I like it a lot!

You can get a used AT3 for under $40, the adapter is $50.

I would go the route of an apple TV
