Ok, so I'm considering trading my 6 for a plus with a guy on Craigslist. I have yet to buy AppleCare for my 6 but planned to. If I make this trade is there anyway that I would be able to get AppleCare for the plus? Thanks.

Yes, being that the plus was purchased within the last 60 days. Just take it in to Apple (or do it over the phone... they will have you run a diagnostic through your computer if you choose this option).
Shouldn't be a problem. Just call the AppleCare number and they will walk you through it. Pretty simple process. You will need a working phone with a phone number.
Just to be safe ask for a copy of the receipt. Obviously it hasn't been 60 days since launch, but you might want to just in case.
