Hi,

I have a couple iphones i'd like to transfer to my new imac but without losing my contacts AT LEAST... is there any way i could transfer files from my old macbook pro to my imac in order to dodge the memory loss?

Generally you should be able to just use and external drive to do this,
On most you can download a program that will backup for you.
On your new mac, did you transfer any music and just not the iPhone info?
Guess you can just manually dig through the files for the iPhone backups...
Let's see....Mac or PC?
Either way there should be somewhere to find out how to do it
