Iphone Turning off and resetting time/date

My Iphone 3gs 16GB keeps turning off and when it finally turns back on the time and date are all wrong, it takes the date back to 1 Jan 1970 and time back an hour or so..anyone else had this problem? its still under warranty so I will be taking it back soon
