iPhone turns off when recording video?

I tried this with my iPhone 6s and a iPhone 6. When I record video the phones turns off and won't turn on due to low battery, but then turns on minutes later with more then 50% battery. This happens multiple times. Anyone experience this weird glitch? On my iPhone 6s I'm recording 4k video and have enough storage space.

Sounds like you battery could be bad. Any way to get it to Apple to check out?
