iPhone (unlocked) EDGE access in Australia?!

G'day,

So I've had my iPhone on Optus here in Melbourne, Australia since late July, 2007 but I've just realized I've gone all this time with EDGE!

How can I access EDGE on my iPhone with Optus? Does Optus even offer EDGE and if not what do I need to do to get it? Plus, how much will it cost and if you know could you post very clear and simple instructions?!

Please keep in mind that my technical expertise and scarce!

PS: I'm running 1.1.3 fully unlocked and my baseband is 04.03.13_G is that matters!

a simple call to optus would answer all your questions.
